Resilience means the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties. If there are nations that would encompass it, Philippines is one of them. To point out, we’re an archipelago. This means we are surrounded by water which is a brewing ground for typhoons. The Philippines also belong to the Pacific Ring of Fire where the oceanic Philippine plate and several smaller micro-plates are bumping into each other. On the whole, we have 53 active volcanoes, and our country is susceptible to earthquakes too. This is just on top of the political and economic concerns!
If Filipinos are not resilient, I don’t know what is, and thank God we are! In spite of all of these, I am glad that we remain strong and determined to surpass all of these difficulties. It even comes with a hearty smile like nothing happened!
GM Yolanda’s Resilience and Strength
Last week, General Manager Yolanda de Jesus shared her Kuwentong BKT MPC. To sum up, according to her there are various concerns and changes since 1990. There were also intrigues, however, she knows what is true and what is right so her commitment didn’t falter. In spite of all the challenges, her passion to serve and educate the members remained strong. She hopes that all the members will understand the deeper meaning of Bukluran sa Kaunlaran ng Tibig Multi-Purpose Cooperative. Her prayers include that members will diligently fulfill their roles and responsibilities.
